Lesbian Artists Of the Desert's Fall Art Show!

Interested in Exhibiting? If you haven't heard of Lesbian Artists Of the Desert, we are an ever-expanding group of lesbian/queer women artists whose goal is to enhance individual and collective visibility in the community. We operate collaboratively to broaden practices, activities and possibilities. LAOD began meeting in 2019 and there is no membership fee.

We meet monthly at CREATE Center for the Arts in Palm Desert and artists of all medias and traditions are welcome. CREATE Center for the Arts is located in Palm Desert at 73600 Alessandro Drive. During Covid, LAOD produced online art shows featuring member artists and their work.

Now we can go live and are excited to announce that the upcoming Fall Art Show will be held in the beautiful venue of CREATE Center for the Arts! Fall Art Show copy.jpg If you are interested in exhibiting (and selling) your art at LAOD's Fall Art Show, your first step is to bring yourself and a sample of your work to CREATE at 1pm on June 16th! You can introduce yourself, confirm your interest in joining and participating with LOAD moving forward, and... Strut Your Stuff

Bring one example of your art that you would like in the show. Everyone who attends will be guaranteed to have one or more pieces in the show. In preparation for Strut Your Stuff, we need some information from you. Email Cathy Parker at [email protected] by June 2 identifying your medium and what you need to present your art such as an easel, pedestal, table, monitor.
